Portland’s First Annual Wurst Week Ever is a week-long summer food crawl focused on some of Maine’s most iconic hot dog destinations. Grab your friends and stop by some of Maine’s most iconic hot dog destinations, including The Highroller Lobster Co., Portland Hunt + Alpine Club, Room for Improvement, and the East Ender, for a summer food crawl like no other from June 19th-25th. Here’s a peek at the Wurst Week Ever details:
Lets Meat!
Available at all four participating locations, Crawl Cards are the proof you’re celebrating Portland’s Wurst Week Ever. Fill out your card by eating a speciality hot dog from each destination and you’ll be entered into a raffle. Four winners will be selected at the end of Wurst Week, and prizes include gift cards from each restaurant, hot dog swag, and more!
If you complete your Crawl Card in one day (that’s four hot dogs in less than 24 hours), you’ll be entered into another raffle where you could win a hot dog flash tattoo from local artist Justin Zanghi at Gold Star Tattoo.
At the end of the week (Sunday, 6/25), return completed Crawl Cards to Highroller, Hunt + Alpine Club, and East Ender before 5 PM or drop off at Room for Improvement before 8 PM.
Wurst Week Ever Rundown of Events
Each participating restaurant will host a hot dog-themed event during the week. Attendance is not mandatory to be entered into the raffles, but it’s certainly encouraged!
Kick Off Party at Hunt + Alpine | Monday, 6/19 from 5-10 PM
Enjoy pickle shots, three different kinds of hot dogs from Olympia Provisions, and plenty of 90s jams to kick off the Wurst Week Ever.
Balderdasch Pre-Karaoke Sample Sesh at East Ender | Wednesday, 6/21 from 5-7 PM
East Ender is calling all party people who may or may not be able to sing (they prefer if you can’t, it makes for more fun) and like free booze! East Ender will be hosting Dasch Seltzer, as they hand out free samples of their plain, blueberry and cranberry seltzers pre-karaoke party. Stick around afterward for the most happening karaoke in Portland.

Dog-A-Thon and Raffle Drawing at Room for Improvement | Sunday, 6/25 from 5-8:30 PM
Hot dog themed games outdoors. Test your skills with activities like bobbing for hot dogs and the hot dog lob. Raffle drawing at 8 PM. Make sure to complete your raffle cards and enter them beforehand on Sunday for a chance to win amazing prizes. If you’re not present at the event, no worries! They will contact the raffle winners via Instagram or email.
